Rev. Richard Whittington, Founder and President of Servant Ministries, Inc., was born in the foothills of North Carolina in 1959. He grew up in a small country town. At age ten he trusted Christ as his personal savior. His parents were active members of a small country church where Richard and his three sisters attended regularly. After finishing school, he joined the military and served four years in the US Army. He was stationed at Scholfield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii. While in Hawaii, he met his wife, and they were married and had their first child there. Richard also has over 20 years of Business Management at the retail and wholesale levels in the recreational Diving Industry. He also has over 5 years experience working for N.C. Dept. of Public Safety.
He has traveled to Brazil several times reaching out to the Brazilian people through evangelism and discipleship. He also travels to India, Trinidad – West Indies, and Guyana – South America training seminary students and national pastors. See Photo Album
In 2000, Richard began a full time ministry called Servant Ministries, Inc. which exists to lead people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible teaching, tools, and training. He is also a National Instructor for Walk Thru the Bible and has taught Walk Thru Live Events in many denominations throughout the United States and overseas.
Currently Richard resides in Millers Creek, NC and is serving in a local church. Next to his relationship with the Lord, his priority is his family. He and his beloved wife of over 43 years have two grown children and six grandchildren.
